During the financial year 2020-2021 Covid-19 infection positivity rate remained high in Pakistan. Our top
most priority was to ensure children and families remained safe from Covid-19 infections as they travel
from different districts of KP in public transport as children with disabilities have very low immunity. AKI
Family Centered Service remained partially closed for almost 8 months for face-to-face therapy sessions
but our postural aid, tailoring for upholstery related to wheelchair and postural appliances and orthotics
workshops remained open throughout the year. Postural and orthotic appliances were prescribed and
delivered to children through prior appointments in consultation with concerned physiotherapist. Two
physiotherapist (one Male and one Female) remained in the office to supervise the appliances delivery in
their presence.
