World Cerebral Palsy Day 2023 -Celebrations at Akbar Kare Institute

On the 12th of October, 2023, Akbar Kare Institute (AKI) hosted a heartwarming event to mark World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day. This inclusive gathering brought together special children and their families in a day filled with joy, laughter, and a profound sense of togetherness.
The event was a testament to the power of inclusion, as special children and their families participated wholeheartedly. It was heartening to witness the smiles, laughter, and strong bonds that were forged on this memorable day. AKI pulled out all the stops to ensure that everyone had a delightful time. The event featured a variety of free stalls offering ice cream, popcorn, candies, a circus performance, face painting, and an exciting train ride for the kids. These activities added an extra layer of excitement and left indelible memories for all who attended.
In the spirit of unity and support, prestigious guests, including the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank of Khyber and a dedicated team from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), graced the event with their presence. It was their presence and encouragement that made the day even more special. Behind the scenes, AKI’s dedicated staff went above and beyond, managing the event seamlessly alongside their clinical responsibilities. Their tremendous effort ensured that this day would be a cherished memory for the children and their families. Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors and sponsors, including ICRC, Lions Club, and Gift It A Try, whose support made this heartwarming event possible.
As we reflect on World CP Day 2023, we celebrate the essence of togetherness and the shared joy that resonated through the air. This event demonstrated that when we come together, remarkable things happen, and we look forward to many more such inclusive and joyous celebrations in the future.
